With over a hundred wineries to choose from in the Finger Lakes region, who even knows where to start?
Heart and Hands
Just five miles north of Aurora is Heart and Hands Wine Company. A family-owned estate, Tom and Susan Higgins left New York City to grow their grapes in soil rooted in limestone. Because of their careful consideration about their harvest, their wines offer some of the most distinctive flavors in the Finger Lakes.
Long Point Winery
Take a trip down windy Lake Road, just off of Route 90, to Long Point Winery. Conveniently located right next to Aurora Ale & Lager Company, this spot is a "kill two drinks with one stop" kind of place. Take in the breathtaking panoramic view of Cayuga Lake from the east side while sipping Riesling.
Treleaven Wines is a quick drive down the road in King Ferry. Aside from their normal tasting room, they boast a 40 x 80-foot all-season pavilion, paired with TVs, a beautiful wood bar, food, beer, and — of course — wine! Check their events page to see what is happening on any given day in the backyard.
