Weddings at the Inns of Aurora are fully customizable, and we love to work with our wedding couples to make your event feel uniquely yours! Our on-site wedding coordinator will help make planning your perfect wedding fun and stress-free, blending your vision with what our experience has shown works the very best. Below is a sample wedding weekend itinerary for 125 to 150 guests.

After your ceremony rehearsal, gather with your most important guests and begin the weekend in style. With a custom chandelier that mimics stars in the night’s sky, the dining room at Rowland House is perfect for an intimate dinner of up to 22 guests. Our farm-to-table dinner menus with wine pairings complement this sophisticated space. For a more casual feel, kick off your celebration with an elevated backyard barbecue of up to 50 guests and end the evening with s’mores around the fire.

Once the rest of your guests have arrived and checked into their rooms, gather them at E.B. Morgan House for a fun meet-and-greet before the big day. The home’s elegant mahogany porches provide shady spots to rest, while the sunny, lush lawn that stretches down to the lakeshore is perfect for games in milder weather. A selection of beverages and light hors d’oeuvres keeps it casual as guests get settled in.

The most magical day of your life deserves an unforgettable setting, and the lakeside lawn at the Aurora Inn is just such a place. This is the only wedding venue on Cayuga Lake with unobstructed sunset views and direct lake access, giving your event a picturesque backdrop of vibrant colors. We’ll arrange for a ceremony tent to provide a comfortable outdoor setting for your guests, regardless of the weather.

After your lakeside ceremony, stroll the few steps to the behind the Aurora Inn for cocktails, dinner, and dancing. Set among banks of white tea roses and a pair of antique fountains, our expansive bluestone patio is an effortlessly refined yet relaxed place to toast and celebrate. Understated, historic murals of Aurora adorn the walls of the nearby Lakeside Room, well-suited for use as an indoor bar and lounge. As twilight falls on Cayuga Lake, tasteful chandeliers provide a warm glow to our silk-lined reception tent.

Once the reception music fades, head across the street and keep the party going at the Fargo Bar & Grill. Loosen your tie and kick off your heels at our laid-back tavern, the ideal place to unwind with friends and family. Refuel with some bar bites and dance to your favorite song one last time before tucking into your luxurious guestroom for a night of restful sleep.

It’s time to enjoy your first full day as a married couple! Start the day off right by mingling with your guests on the lakeside veranda of 1833 Kitchen & Bar, where you can sip a mimosa or enjoy a Bloody Mary and tuck into a hearty brunch. Recount tales of last night’s adventures, share a final hug with the last of your departing guests, and sneak back to your room for a well-deserved nap.
