Solar + Lunar Balancing Flow with Zainab Zakari 9:15 am
February 9 @ 9:15 am - 10:15 amFree - $15.00
Join visiting yoga teacher Zainab Zakari for Prana Vinyasa Flow
Prana Vinyasa Yoga, cultivated by Shiva Rea and shared by dedicated guides all around the world, is a life-realization, embodiment practice & global collective based on the roots of yoga, evolutionary pathways, the art and science of flow, and tools for wellness for our vitality and sacred earth. This full-spectrum practice is an effective, creative system of progressing on the path, bringing greater vitality, fluidity, longevity, satisfaction in the soul, passion, and compassion in the heart.—from Shiva Rea & the Prana Vinyasa Flow Community
Classes feature breath-led, flowing movements to help cultivate one’s awareness of their energetic body and alignment. Through progressive & creative sequencing, students will be led through a warming flow to awaken the body and build towards various asanas (poses) before flowing back towards stillness in either a closing seated meditation or resting in Savasana. The overall experience is a moving meditation that connects body, mind & soul. All levels are welcome.
This class is free for Inns of Aurora guests and is available to the public for $15 online advance registration or $20 cash drop-in fee at the door.
Zainab Zakari has been teaching flow yoga for over ten years, and in that time has also led specialized workshops & immersions, as well as designed and co-led 200-Hour Teacher Trainings. Her flow classes are known for offering multi-layers—from the physical and the mental to the creative and the sacred. She aims to meet students wherever they are on their journey, and she is not above using humor, movie references, dance, poetry, sports, geometry, physics, or practical magic to do it. Anchored by insights from all her teachers, Zainab strives to cultivate awareness for alignment in living flow, a playful curiosity when approaching various experiences, and a kind, patient witness to whatever unfolds on and off the mat. Students will be invited and *sweetly* challenged to breathe, to move, to smile, to listen, and to trust their inner guide. They will be invited to (re)connect to their Soul.
