Skills Class – Preventing Food Waste at Aurora Cooks! 5:30 pm
January 30 @ 5:30 pm - 6:30 pmFree - $15.00
The thing that distinguishes the best home cooks isn’t sophisticated recipes, expensive ingredients, or fancy kitchen gadgets: it’s a culinary mindset – being able to look at whatever’s in the pantry and saying “I can make that into something tasty.” In this demonstration, Chef Grace will help you begin to develop that mindset by exploring fundamental-but-overlooked kitchen skills. For example: what makes a really good vinaigrette? When planning a dinner party, where do you start? What are some must-have staples for improvising recipes? The topic of this demonstration will change weekly, so check back often!
Please register in advance. Doors open and check-in begins 10 minutes prior to start time. Classes begin promptly.
Round out your visit with dinner at 1833 Kitchen & Bar. Reservations strongly encouraged.
FINE PRINT: Please inform us of any food allergies when registering. As classes are designed for demonstration and not intended to be a meal, separate dishes will not be prepared based on preference. Classes are open to guests aged 18 years and older, and a valid photo I.D. will is required to be served alcohol. Cocktail and wine classes require that all participants be at least 21 years old. If you are unable to attend a class, you must cancel at least 24 hours in advance to receive a refund, retain a credit, or transfer to another class. Without the 24 hour notice, the registration fee is non-refundable. You may, however, send someone to class in your place.
