Join visiting yoga instructor joanna Krueger for Sivananda Yoga
Start your day with a 60-minute class based on the Sivananda Yoga style. The Sivananda Yoga style offers a traditional, slow-paced, meditative class. The class’s focus will be on proper breathing and flexibility, strengthening the body while calming the mind. A typical class incorporates these four components: breathing exercises; warm-ups, including Sun Salutations; 12 basic asanas (postures), with the practice of relaxation between asanas; and finally, deep relaxation to focus the mind and carry the feeling of energetic calm back into your everyday life.
Previous experience with yoga is recommended. This class is not ideal for beginners or those working with injuries or limited mobility. This class is open to all and free for Inns of Aurora guests and is available to the public for a $15 drop-in fee. All equipment is provided.
