Join Laura Coburn, Director of Serenity at the Inns of Aurora, for a spot of tea and enjoy the hands-on accomplishment of blending your own from a variety of organic flowers and herbs. During the month of December, learn to blend the Inns of Aurora’s custom holiday tea!
With both exotic and familiar flavors, our signature holiday tea blend evokes a sense of holiday magic and nostalgia. Hibiscus flower gives the tea a warm ruby glow and a floral hint, balanced by cinnamon, star anise, and orange peel. Whole stevia leaf adds the touch of sweetness, and Grains of Paradise and cardamom bring extra heat.
This tea, available exclusively at the Inns of Aurora this December, was custom blended by Laura Coburn, Director of Serenity: “I was inspired by a recent trip where I sipped on hibiscus cinnamon tea. I thought it would make an excellent base. I add some other delicious herbs and spices to make this a gift for the senses and of good health. I also wanted to make a tea blend that had depth and body yet remained free of caffeine.”
Known for its cleansing properties, cardamom assists the kidneys. Supporting the liver, hibiscus flower serves as an anti-inflammatory and antioxidant. Another anti-inflammatory, rooibos is completely caffeine-free and promotes better quality sleep. Antibacterial, antifungal, antimicrobial, astringent, cinnamon boosts brain function and purifies the blood and improves circulation with its anticlotting properties.
Free and open to Inns of Aurora guests, and employees. $10 to the public.
