DIY Ramen at Aurora Cooks! 6:30 pm

February 20 @ 6:30 PM - 7:30 PM

Learn how to make an easy ramen-style broth; explore all the exciting toppings you can add to jazz up your pantry’s ramen packet

Join Grace Mattingly at Aurora Cooks—the Inns of Aurora’s stunning new demonstration kitchen—for a relaxed and educational tasting experience. Gather around the island or have a seat at a nearby table as though you’re at a chef’s home kitchen and enjoy all of the comforts afforded by an outstanding host.

Many of us remember ramen as the late-night emergency rations we hastily ate in our college dorm rooms. But if that was your last experience with these wonderful noodles, you’ll be delighted to discover how versatile this simple dish can be. Learn how to make an easy ramen-style broth; explore all the exciting toppings you can add to jazz up your pantry’s ramen packet. After learning about all the culinary tricks you can use to spice up your ramen, we’ll provide a buffet of different toppings (shaved raw vegetables, meats, soft boiled egg, herbs) for guests to create their own.

With delectable tastes and take-away tips for applying expert techniques in your own home, this 90-minute demonstration is an engaging and intimate culinary experience. Enjoy a glass or two of wine, a craft beer, or a hand-blended cup of tea as you watch, learn, and taste the magic behind a truly well-made meal.

Please register in advance. Doors open and check-in begins 10 minutes prior to start time. Classes begin promptly.

FINE PRINT: Please inform us of any food allergies when registering. As classes are designed for demonstration and not intended to be a meal, separate dishes will not be prepared based on preference. Classes are open to guests aged 18 years and older, and a valid photo I.D. will is required to be served alcohol. Cocktail and wine classes require that all participants be at least 21 years old. If you are unable to attend a class, you must cancel at least 24 hours in advance to receive a refund, retain a credit, or transfer to another class. Without the 24 hour notice, the registration fee is non-refundable. You may, however, send someone to class in your place. Please notify the Inns of Aurora reservation team of your substitution by calling 315.364.8888.
