If you’re a traveler who seeks to fully immerse yourself in the culture of the Finger Lakes, the Inns of Aurora offer distinctive opportunities to enrich your travel and deepen your understanding of viniculture and the farm-to-table movement.
Based around the heritage farms and wineries that live at the center of Finger Lakes living, our experiential programs allow you to sink your fingers into damp earth, taste wine from the cask, and savor the fruits of organic harvest—delights for any epicurean. Through work alongside the true practitioners of the rural vocations for which our region is famed, you and your family can forge lasting connections with the people of the Finger Lakes—people known for their openness, authenticity, and hospitality.

Harvest Home Organics
The Inns of Aurora are exceptionally proud of our close relationship with Rose Ryan of Harvest Home Organics, the source of much of the fresh produce used in our kitchen. Beyond being a wonderful farmer, Rose is a great teacher and a tremendous human being. If you want a true taste of Finger Lakes farming, we think you can’t do better than this.
This experience is available to those enjoying a two-night stay. Rose welcomes visitors to her farm on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays year-round. For an additional $330 (based on a two-person package), you can experience:
- A cheese and fruit platter, paired with a bottle of Finger Lakes Wine, for you to enjoy on your first evening with us
- A farm tour and day of instructional, hands-on organic farming with Rose Ryan of Harvest Home Organics. Transportation is not provided, though maps are!
- A picnic lunch for two from the Aurora Inn (more lunches may be added for an additional fee)
- $100 voucher towards dinner at the Aurora Inn; when possible, dinner will be made with food from the day’s harvest

Heart and Hands Wine Company
Welcome to wine country! We’re located in the heart of the Finger Lakes, a region already known for wine and earning additional accolades every year. We’re also just 5 miles down the road from Heart and Hands Winery—one of the premier producers of pinot noir wines in the Finger Lakes, and our partner in offering an unforgettable experience.
The chance to experience vintning first-hand is available to those enjoying a two-night stay. Heart and Hands welcomes our guests on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays between November 1 and April 30. For an additional $360 (based on a two-person package), you can experience:
- A wine tasting in the Aurora Inn Dining Room with our own wine buyers on your first evening with us
- A day-in-the-life at Heart and Hands winery. You’ll work along side Tom and Susan Higgins as well as the other members of the team as they craft their small-batch wines. Transportation is not provided, though maps are!
- A picnic lunch for two from the Aurora Inn (more lunches may be added for an additional fee)
- $100 voucher towards dinner at the Aurora Inn
